Arab Finance: Egypt’s House of Representatives voted by a two-thirds majority to authorize President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to take the necessary measures to support Saudi Arabia against any foreign attacks.

El-Sisi previously stated that Egypt’s military efforts would focus on defending Saudi territory and would not involve launching attacks on Yemen.

The president emphasized that Egyptian military deployments would not extend beyond the country’s borders except to support a fellow Arab state whose security and stability Egypt is committed to safeguarding.
